Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or higher in nursing.
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
• 1 year experience in cardiac telemetry or other cardiac care setting preferred.

• Skilled in EKG rhythm interpretation and other cardiac monitoring techniques.
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythm and other critical vital signs, interpreting data to identify distress or abnormal patterns.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to the medical plan of care.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to evaluate and modify the plan of care as necessary, focusing on the patient’s cardiac status.
• Educate patients and families on heart health, treatment plans, and relevant home care instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient’s condition, treatment, and progress in EMR per hospital policies.
