RTO after booking is not allowed and is not permitted to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in cancellation and DNR.
REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Experience Required: 2 years of experience.
First-time travelers are accepted: The unit will accept 1st-time travelers.
Required Skills: IV Start and Telemetry.
Required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIH.
JOB DETAILS:
Ratios: 1:5-6.
The unit will accept contracts for 13 weeks.
36 hours can be offered, with 12 HR night shifts.
FLOATING is required as needed to similar units.
Required weekends: 4 weekend shifts per each 6-week schedule.
Patient diagnoses include: Pre/Post Cath, Pre/Post PPM & AICD, Watchmen Procedures, Stress Tests, management of arterial & venous sheaths, TIA population, carotid stent patient management, Card-Tele, arrhythmia management, and management of cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, renal dose dopamine, Lasix drips, and non-titrating Nitro drips for stable CP and NSTEMI patients.
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS:
CPPU is a 24-bed inpatient cardiac procedural unit housing cardiac telemetry along with pre- and post-cardiac procedural patients. Average length of stay is 1.8-2.4 days. There is rapid patient turnover daily. An ADT nurse is available on the unit Monday-Friday during peak transition times.
SCHEDULING:
Any absences must be made up at the end of the contract; they cannot be made up as OT days. If a nurse calls out on a weekend shift, they will need to make up another weekend shift at the manager’s discretion per the 2020 policy. The unit cannot promise a block schedule but will attempt to accommodate requests.

Overtime Multiplier: 1.25 for 40 hours/week
