The Registered Nurse, Care Line, provides telephonic triage, health advice, patient counseling, advocacy, education, and referrals to ChenMed patients and their families. The role involves remote clinical advice and emergency triage assessments, collaborating with primary caregivers to deliver comprehensive care.

The schedule for this position is:

• Saturdays 0800-1800
• Sundays 0800-1800

Training will be for 2 weeks, Monday to Friday, in a virtual setting, paid and provided upon starting.

Essential Duties include:

• Connecting with patients via phone or video, collecting health histories, and recording data.
• Providing health assessments, monitoring patient health, and supporting emergency scenarios.
• Monitoring vital signs using available technology.
• Identifying symptoms via video and analyzing data to determine outcomes.
• Collaborating with on-call providers.
• Documenting patient progress and interventions clearly.
• Enhancing telehealth practices and nursing quality.
• Utilizing resources to ensure safe, effective, and responsible care.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Multi-state Compact RN license required; ability to obtain additional licenses within 90 days.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross required.
• Minimum 3 years of acute clinical nursing experience preferred.
• At least 2 years in Emergency Nursing, Triage, or Urgent Care highly preferred.
• Experience with older adults and virtual care is a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish fluency highly preferred.
