Job summary

TALENT Software Services partners with a leading teaching hospital in Saint Paul, MN to recruit an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse. The role focuses on safe patient care for telemetry and Med-Surg patients, continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring, and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

You will document in Epic (Excellian), educate patients and families, and float to support facility needs.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required; pending license may be accepted.
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry/Med-Surg experience.
• Experience with Epic (Excellian) is required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to telemetry and Med-Surg patients.
• Continuously monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and elevate concerns appropriately.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic (Excellian).

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide top-notch care to our patients. Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to telemetry and Med-Surg patients.

Requirements

• Med-Surg experience may be considered.
• Previous Epic experience is required.
• Strong telemetry/cardiac monitoring skills.
• Ability to work both day and night shifts.
• Ability to work every other weekend.
• Willingness to float within scope based on facility needs.

Schedule & Contract Requirements

• 3x12-hour shifts
• Days/Nights
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call requirement
• Block scheduling is not available
• Locals are not accepted within a 100-mile radius
• RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days
• Client may cancel up to 3 shifts at any time for an assigned candidate without penalty or obligation to pay for the cancelled time. On-call hours do not count toward guaranteed minimum hours.
