HCA Healthcare's Methodist Hospitals in San Antonio seeks a PRN Registered Nurse Systems Resource to influence patient care through collaborative relationships with managers and hospital councils.

You will float to Methodist Hospitals in the San Antonio area, assist with admissions/discharges, support quality of care, guide staff training, and help implement nursing strategies and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services with the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to improve outcomes and teamwork.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Operates nursing strategies, including rounds and engagement initiatives.
• Assists with interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; supports performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management per patient care needs.
• Supports inventory control and supplies/equipment management.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Systems Resource PRN Registered Nurse will float to all Methodist Hospitals within the San Antonio area.

What you will do in this role:

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommends and implements courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
• Assists with staff scheduling. Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
• Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute experience as a licensed Registered Nurse
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 60 days of hire date)
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
