Central Virginia VA Health Care System is seeking a Registered Nurse Surgical Services Purchasing Coordinator for Fredericksburg VA Clinic in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The role involves responsibility and accountability for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. It also includes coordinating care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.

Duties

The Registered Nurse Surgical Services Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating equipment for use as indicated.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Basic Requirements:
• English Language Proficiency: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7403(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless proficient in basic written and spoken English.
• Educational Background: Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by an accrediting agency such as ACEN or CCNE, or equivalent foreign education with proper licensing, or in a master's level bridge program in nursing.
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse in the U.S. or its territories. Nurse Technician candidates may be appointed temporarily while pursuing licensure.

Note: Current employees in the 0610 series performing these duties as of 1/29/2024 are considered to meet qualification requirements.
