Job summary

Three Crosses Regional Hospital is actively seeking a Registered Nurse for Surgical Services on a PRN basis in Las Cruces, NM. The RN will manage OR setup, serve as circulator, and coordinate care across procedures, including anesthesia support and post-procedure documentation.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate Degree in Nursing with RN licensure, BCLS/ACLS, and ideally CNOR/PALS. Ambulatory surgery experience is preferred; BSN is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience, ambulatory surgery center preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license required.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• CNOR and PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee instrument and equipment setup for the OR and anticipate surgeons' needs.
• Coordinate and oversee the room during a case as circulator.
• Facilitate efficient transition between surgical procedures.
• Use proper body mechanics when moving patients to stretchers and OR tables.
• Manage patient care and medications, including anesthesia support.
• Review patient charts for completeness per documentation protocols before and after procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the instrument and equipment set-up for your OR, including utilization of preference cards and ability to anticipate your surgeons needs
• Coordinate and oversee your room during a case as the circulator
• You will facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures
• Utilize appropriate body mechanics in moving your patients to stretchers and OR tables to prevent injury
• Manage your patients care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia
• Consistently review your charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure

Requirements:

• Associates Degree
