Job summary

Three Crosses Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for Surgical Services on a PRN basis in Las Cruces, NM. The RN will help oversee OR setup, act as circulator, and ensure smooth transitions between procedures while supporting patient safety and care.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate's Degree with RN license, 2+ years OR experience, and current BCLS/ACLS; BSN and CNOR/PALS are preferred qualifications to advance in this role.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required.
• RN license current.
• 2+ years operating room experience.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications current.
• BSN preferred; CNOR and PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee instrument and equipment setup for the OR and anticipate surgeons' needs.
• Coordinate and oversee the room during a case as the circulator.
• Facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures.
• Use proper body mechanics when moving patients to stretchers and OR tables.
• Manage patient care and medications, including anesthesia assistance.
• Review charts for completeness according to documentation protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the instrument and equipment set-up for your OR, including utilization of preference cards and ability to anticipate your surgeons needs
• Coordinate and oversee your room during a case as the circulator
• You will facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures
• Utilize appropriate body mechanics in moving your patients to stretchers and OR tables to prevent injury
• Manage your patients care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia
• Consistently review your charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure

Requirements:

• Associates Degree
• BSN Preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
• Current Registered Nurse License
• Current BCLS and ACLS Certifications
• CNOR & PALS certifications preferred
