Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan seeks a Registered Nurse to lead our Surgical Clinical Program. The role blends clinical expertise with program leadership to drive best practices in the OR and perioperative environment.

Qualifications

Lead and champion nursing excellence within our dynamic surgical program, serving as a clinical resource and strategic partner for surgical nursing staff. This role combines clinical expertise with program leadership to drive best practices, optimize patient outcomes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement in the OR and perioperative environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Champion evidence-based surgical nursing practices by developing, implementing, and refining clinical protocols, care standards, and procedures that elevate patient safety and surgical outcomes. Serve as a trusted clinical resource for surgical nursing staff, providing expert guidance on complex patient care scenarios and perioperative best practices.
  • Design and execute comprehensive care plans and perioperative therapy programs tailored to surgical patients' unique needs. Ensure seamless implementation of individualized care plans across the surgical continuum, coordinating resources and equipment to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Lead and mentor surgical nursing staff, fostering professional development and accountability while maintaining high standards of clinical practice and patient-centered care.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation and program records that support clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement initiatives within the surgical program.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
  • Required Registered Nurse professional licensure at time of hire.
  • Advanced Life Support, preferred,
  • BLS Certification, required
