Job summary

Hudson Hospital & Clinic, part of HealthPartners, seeks an experienced RN to care for patients in the Surgery Center and Procedure Center, including admission, initial and subsequent recovery, and monitoring during moderate sedation for GI endoscopy and image-guided biopsies.

This role requires Wisconsin RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, and PALS within 6 months of hire, with PACU/ICU or ER experience in the last five years. 0.5 FTE or greater and a robust benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• WI RN license current.
• BLS and ACLS required at time of hire.
• Minimum PACU/ICU or ER experience within the last 5 years.
• PALS certification to be completed within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in the Surgery Center and Procedure Center.
• Manage admission, first-stage and second-stage recovery.
• Monitor patients receiving moderate sedation for GI/endoscopy procedures and biopsies.

Job description

Responsible for the care of patients in the Surgery Center and Procedure Center to include admission of surgical, GI and pain procedure patients, first stage recovery of surgical patients, second stage recovery of outpatient surgical patients and monitoring of patients receiving moderate sedation for GI endoscopy procedures, pain procedures and image guided biopsies.

SCHEDULE:

• Must follow casual requirements per contract.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing required
• Current WI RN license
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications required at time of hire/start date
• Minimum of one year of Hi-Obs (step-down/progressive care) experience or one year of ER experience within the last year.
• PALS certification – must complete within 6 months of hire
• One year of recent (within the last 5 years) experience in PACU/ICU

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• One year of recent (within the last 5 years) experience in PACU/ICU
