Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse for the 9E Medical-Surgical unit in Springfield, MO. The 9E unit is a 30-bed adult med/surg unit with a focus on GI and GU post-surgical patients.

The RN will assess patient conditions, administer medications, monitor vital signs, document care, and educate patients and families. Missouri RN license and BLS within 90 days are required; BSN preferred and opportunities for advancement exist within this leading healthcare system.

Job Description: 9E Medical-Surgical is a 30 bed adult med/surg unit. We care for a variety of patients with our specialty focused on GI and GU post-surgical patients. We offer special training for suprapubic catheter insertion, post-bariatric surgery training and much more. Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in your community? The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing the care of the patients experiencing medical conditions or surgical procedures. The nurse must be able to assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records and provide patients and families with support and education. The Registered Nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge in order to care for a diverse group of patients.

Education

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience

• Preferred: Previous nursing experience
