Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process through technology, therapeutic interventions, evidence-based practices, and coordination with other health team members.

Scope: As a Registered Nurse, your daily responsibilities include:

1. Assessing, recognizing, and addressing patients' psychological and physical needs.
2. Fostering quality care with the best interests of patients and their families in mind.
3. Communicating compassionately and effectively.
4. Assisting in developing individualized treatment plans.
5. Complying with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines.
6. Overseeing care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs and participating in clinical team conferences.
7. Following hospital, regulatory, and professional guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• ASN from an accredited program; BSN within 4 years.
• Current Colorado RN license.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
• One year of nursing experience in a comparable setting (preferred).

Physical Requirements:

• Visual acuity for reading information, labels, and assessing patients.
• Effective verbal communication for interactions with patients, visitors, and staff, especially during emergencies.
• Manual dexterity for manipulating equipment and documentation.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist with patient mobility and handling supplies.
• Ability to walk, stand, and navigate busy environments.

Location: St Marys Medical Center, Grand Junction, Colorado

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36

The hourly rate ranges from $34.30 to $52.00, depending on experience.
