JCMG in Jefferson City, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Surgery Center to provide direct patient care before, during, and after procedures. The role emphasizes accurate assessment, care planning, and documentation, with a focus on safety and infection control.

Requires ADN or BSN, MO RN license, and current BCLS; ACLS within 6 months is expected. Preferred two years of operating room experience and strong teamwork in a surgical environment. Comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• RN license in MO in good standing.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS within 6 months).
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Assess patients and document appropriately.
• Plan and communicate patient care to achieve optimal function.
• Implement planned interventions and document per policy.
• Evaluate status and revise care plan as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and participate in quality improvement.
• Serve as a resource and assist in training and orientation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Specific Competencies:

• Plans patient care to achieve optimal level of function based on nursing assessment, diagnoses, and/or medical treatment. Communicates the plan to patient and/or significant others level of understanding, and documents according to policy.

• Evaluates patient status in relation to established goals and desired outcomes and revises plan as indicated.

• Demonstrates understanding of role in all areas of conscious sedation and medication administration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• ADN or BSN degree

Experience:

• Prefer 2-years of experience in the operating room setting

Certification/License:

• RN license in the state of MO in good standing
• Current BCLS certification
• Current ACLS certification (or obtain ACLS certification within 6 months of employment)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Working environment is generally favorable; however, there is exposure risk in the form of disease and potential for exposure to electrical and explosion hazards common in a surgical department environment. High potential for exposure to blood and body fluids; Personal protective equipment required.
