Responsibilities include coordinating and administering medical and nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process which involves:

1. Assessment of the patient’s physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs;
2. Planning and development of an individualized nursing care plan;
3. Implementation of the care plan;
4. Evaluation of the patient’s response to care.

Minimum requirements:

• Associate Degree in Nursing;
• Entry-level experience;
• Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or the ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire;
• Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse in Wisconsin and/or Illinois, depending on job location.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, hearing, and understanding English;
• Physical, technical, and cognitive ability, including manual dexterity, to operate patient care equipment.

Principle accountabilities and duties include demonstrating clinical skills, collaborating with healthcare team members, maintaining a safe environment, organizing patient care activities, responding promptly to requests and emergencies, participating in standards of care, and assisting in training new staff and students.
