Park Nicollet Health Services is hiring an RN Supervisor for the Urgent Care team to lead daily operations and ensure high-quality patient care. You will supervise RNs, LPNs, Medical Assistants, EMTs and support staff, shaping workflows, safety, and patient experience.

The role features day hours from Monday to Friday with occasional weekends, requiring nursing licensure (RN) and current AHA BLS/ACLS certification. A solid foundation in clinical leadership and staff development is essential.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree (ADN/ Diploma/Bachelor) with supervision experience required.
• Current state RN license are required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Position Summary

Provides supervision of the daily operation of a single designated medical unit or two similar designated medical units of limited size requiring registered nursing expertise, assuring goals and objectives are obtained through the planning, implementing, and directing of programs, procedures, systems, and support personnel.
Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet policy.
Remains current and familiar with a variety of multi-systems concepts, practices, and procedures, including general medical, specialty care and emergency nursing care and interventions.
Directly supervises all support staff including RNs, LPNs, Medical Assistants, EMTs and Department Assistants.

Work Schedule: Day hours M-F, occasional weekends

Required Qualifications

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  • Graduate from a course of study in nursing resulting in an associate degree, diploma or baccalaureate degree and at least one year related supervisory or three years related non-supervisory experience required.
• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
  • Current state Registered Nursing License required.
  • BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Intermediate level computer/keyboarding skills required, including but not limited to email, word processing, spreadsheets, and calendar.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients. EKG, IV skills, and EKG rhythm strip interpretation skills.
  • Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Personal Computer, Telephone, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Printer, Defibrillator, Various Health Testing Devices (specific to the area of specialty), Blood Drawing or Injection Devices, Thermometer, Blood Pressure Equipment, Cardiac Monitor, EKG Machine, Accucheck Machine. All crash cart emergency equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven leadership skills in organizing, planning, and directing an operation and its staff.
• The ability to exercise good judgment and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
