Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing in delivering efficient and effective nursing care, achieving positive clinical outcomes, and ensuring patient, family, and employee satisfaction.
• Report to the Director of Nursing.
• Lead, guide, and direct clinical operations of nursing units on assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.
• Facilitate implementation of care delivery models and processes.
• Collaborate to maintain adequate nursing staff for safe, 24/7 care, emphasizing limited overtime and agency use.
• Participate in staff recruitment, orientation, mentoring, and make recommendations for promotions, transfers, and terminations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current RN license by the State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of three years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience; two years in long-term care nursing with one year in management or supervisory roles preferred. BSN preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification and RN license are required.
