Qualifications

• Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title) or four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services for individuals with mental/physical injury or disability.
• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• All employees with an active temporary practice permit must obtain RN licensure within one year as defined by the PA State Board of Nursing.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role focuses on supervising nursing staff and coordinating care across multiple units to maintain safe and consistent treatment services. You help ensure continuity of nursing care, support communication, and guide staff in meeting professional standards. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:

• Staff Supervision: Direct nursing personnel in the delivery of patient care and treatment services


• Care Coordination: Support communication between shifts to maintain continuity and a safe environment


• Needs Assessment: Guide staff in identifying and assessing physical, psychosocial, and mental health needs


• Training Support: Provide orientation, education, and coaching to nursing department personnel


• Quality Oversight: Monitor care practices, review documentation, and help ensure adherence to nursing standards


• Team Collaboration: Work with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support consistent and effective care

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week


• Work hours are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with rotating days off, working weekends and holidays as assigned, and a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on the operational needs of the hospital.


• Overtime and travel: As needed


• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements

• Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or


• Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.

Special Requirements

• This position requires active a uthorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.


• All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.


• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
