Job summary
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Nurse Manager 1 to lead nursing services at Clarks Summit State Hospital. You will guide nursing staff, strengthen patient treatment practices, and foster a safe, respectful care environment for patients with mental health needs.

Qualifications
- Two years as a Registered Nurse Supervisor or three years as a Registered Nurse Instructor (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration) in a facility providing care and services for people with a mental or physical injury, illness, or developmental disability; or
- Six years of professional nursing experience, which includes one year in a supervisory or consultative capacity providing nursing care and services for people with a mental or physical injury, illness, or developmental disability; and a bachelor's degree in nursing, nursing education, or nursing administration. A master's degree in nursing, nursing education, or nursing administration may be substituted for up to one year of the required general professional nursing work experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year in a supervisory or consultative capacity providing nursing care and services for people with a mental or physical injury, illness, or developmental disability.

This position focuses on managing nursing operations, directing staff, and ensuring the delivery of quality psychiatric nursing care. It also includes overseeing treatment standards, supporting investigations, and promoting professional development. As a Nurse Manager 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Nursing Oversight: Coordinate nursing services, evaluate care practices, and support compliance with treatment standards

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Shift times and schedules may be adjusted by the Chief Nurse Executive based on operational needs.
- Travel: As needed
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Special Requirements:
- This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
