THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position oversees resident care and nursing activities to ensure high standards of safety, documentation, and daily operations. You support staff, monitor care plans, and help maintain compliance across assigned areas. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:

• Nursing Supervision: Provide guidance to nurses and oversee daily treatments and care activities
• Staff Scheduling: Assign personnel, maintain care hours, and review attendance for precision
• Care Monitoring: Review documentation, care plans, and assessments for accuracy and compliance
• Quality Oversight: Evaluate health service data, identify hazards, and recommend improvements
• Leadership Duties: Conduct interviews, evaluate performance, resolve issues, and support staff training
• Incident Reporting: Assess serious incidents and submit required reports according to regulations

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Full-time employment, 80 hours biweekly
• Work hours are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (2nd shift), working every other weekend, with a 30-minute lunch. Training will be conducted on the day shift.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements

• Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ; or
• Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.

Special Requirements

• This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
• Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
