Job summary

Apple Rehab Saybrook is seeking an RN Supervisor to lead nursing services in our 100-bed skilled facility in Old Saybrook, CT. You will coordinate care, supervise staff, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards while supporting the nursing director in daily operations.

The role requires an active Connecticut RN license, weekend on-call availability, and prior supervisory experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings.

Qualifications

RN Supervisor must hold a current state RN license.
Previous supervisory experience is required.
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Demonstrates cooperation and teamwork in a clinical setting.
Long-term care experience preferred.
Knowledge of rehabilitative nursing practices and regulations governing long-term care.
All RN Supervisor positions require weekend on-call availability.

Responsibilities

Plan, oversee, and execute nursing services while ensuring compliance with regulations.
On-call responsibility every 4th weekend.
Supervise day-to-day nursing activities to ensure high-quality care.
Collaborate with Nursing Director to plan operations and emergency support.
Coordinate nursing activities with medical requirements and care plans.
Direct charge nurses to ensure residents receive proper care.
Adjust care plans with medical staff to address emergencies.
In absence of superiors, RN Supervisor makes operating decisions as needed.
Ensure adequate relief staff and notify physicians in case of significant changes.

Registered Nurse positions/shifts available:

Part-Time 7AM - 3PM
Full-Time and Part-Time 3PM-11PM
Full-Time and Part-Time 11PM-7AM
Per diems welcome to apply
Weekend Warrior Available 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am shifts!- $60/ rates!

Responsibilities Include:

Planning, overseeing, and executing nursing services for residents while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
On call responsibility every 4th weekend
Supervising day-to-day nursing activities to guarantee residents receive top-quality care consistently.
Collaborating with the Nursing Director to strategize nursing service operations and emergency support provisions for shifts.
Coordinating nursing activities in alignment with medical requirements, physician directives, and general care plans.
Managing and directing charge nurses to ensure residents receive proper care.
Adjusting care plans in collaboration with medical staff to address emergency medical needs.
In absence of superiors, Registered Nurse Supervisor assumes total responsibility for operating decisions required by the circumstances of the moment.
Ensuring adequate relief staff availability before leaving the facility and notifying residents' personal physicians in case of significant changes in their condition or immediate medical care needs.

Qualifications:

The Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor must hold a current state RN license and be a Registered Nurse in good standing.
Must have previous experience in a supervisory capacity.
Attention to detail, good follow through skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
The Registered Nurse Supervisor demonstrates cooperation in assisting others and ability to work as a team.
Long term care experience preferred.
Must be knowledgeable of general rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines governing long term care.
All RN Supervisor positions require weekend on-call availability to support both staff and residents.
Compensation details available upon inquiry. Per diem staff are expected to fulfill (2) weekend shifts monthly to meet requirements.
