Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center - Janesville is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Sub Acute Unit on a PRN basis. You will provide compassionate nursing care, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote high-quality outcomes.

Required ADN with 2+ years of experience; RN license in state of practice; CPR/BLS within 90 days; ACLS/PALS/PEARS/NRP per unit.

## Registered Nurse- Sub Acute Unit- PRNApply: Onsite: Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center - Janesville: PRN: Posted Today: 2025-02881**OVERVIEW**In this role, you will provide compassionate nursing care, administer treatments and medications, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, develop care plans, educate patients and families, and promote safe, high-quality outcomes.**Schedule:** PRN **Shift:** Variable- As needed**Click here to learn about our SubAcute Unit****ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.* Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act.* Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care.* Documents according to standards of care.* Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and-or clinic policy including patient and family instruction.* Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, may include shared governance.* Utilizes clinical expertise and guidance to other units and-or departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.* Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the appropriate chain of command.* Participates in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities and decisions and peer review process.* Offers ideas and-or solutions to practice issues.* Uses innovative methods and intuitive skills to develop and implement plans of care.* Provides innovative ways to educate patient-families* Initiates interdisciplinary collaboration to meet the patient/family educational needs.* Actively participates in mentoring and precepting new partners to the organization.* Positively influences the professional and organizational environments and shared governance.* Engages in personal development and supports system-entity opportunities for continuous learning and growth including developing or revising evidence-based practice guidelines.* Actively participates in a minimum of 1 departmental or unit performance improvement activities, may include shared governance.**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**Graduate of an accredited nursing program.ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.Minimum of 2 years experience required.**CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE**Licensed as an RN in state of practiceApproved CPR/BLS certification required within 90 daysOther certification(s) per unit requirements.
