Job summary

Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center – Janesville is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This PRN role involves variable shifts, potential weekends, holidays, and on-call hours, with potential to float to other units as needed.

You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, quality outcomes. The position requires ADN with BSN preferred, 2+ years RN experience, active RN license in the state, and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• ADN required upon hire; BSN preferred
• Two years RN experience to qualify per department guidelines
• Licensed as an RN in state of practice
• CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days
• Other unit certifications per requirements
• Driver’s License or Credit Check may be required; background checks as applicable
• WI Caregiver Background Check or IL Health Care Workers Background Check as applicable

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team in caring for patients
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per standards of care

May include variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and/or on-call hours. May also float to different units based on staffing needs and clinical competency.
