The University of Alabama at Birmingham's Student Health Services seeks an RN to provide and manage patient care in the clinic, applying the nursing process and performing injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, IV access, and patient education. You will triage calls, coordinate services, ensure safety, and support quality and fiscal goals in a fast-paced college health setting.

Current RN license in Alabama and CPR/AED certification are required.

Formación

• Associate's degree in Nursing required and cannot be substituted by experience.
• Must be currently licensed as an RN by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• CPR/AED certification for healthcare providers required within 30 days of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide and manage patient care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation).
• Interview patients and obtain vital signs, medical history and provide education.
• Administer medications per physician order and document appropriately.
• Triages patient phone calls and coordinate diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Arrange for home care or other services when appropriate.
• Manage resources for optimal patient flow and monitor supply usage.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe environment.
