Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, PA. This full-time night shift position (7:00PM–7:30AM) includes every-other-weekend work and a comprehensive benefits package.

The RN will participate in interdisciplinary care, assess and document patient needs, and deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care. Pennsylvania licensure or a compact-state license and BLS are required; BSN is preferred for advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing is required.
• BSN degree is highly preferred.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in PA or a Compact State.
• BLS Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to nursing practice standards and performs assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Assist the emergent patient and document on ER nursing tools.
• Identify patient needs based on data and document actions.
• Implement nursing actions for each patient and exercise sound judgment.
• Discusses care plans with patients and families and documents outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient care.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift Description: Job Title: Registered Nurse Employment Type: full-Time Shift: Night shift, 7:00PM - 7:30AM, every other weekend. Location: Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital

Position Purpose

The RN works in a collaborative environment at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. A Registered Nurse is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience. • Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, demonstrates appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Assist the emergent patient and documents accordingly on Emergency Room nursing tool.
• Identifies patient needs based on objective data and follows through with appropriate documentation.
• Implements appropriate Nursing actions to each patient that needs to be identified.
• Makes decisions that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound judgment.
• Discusses with and includes patient an/or family significant other about planned patient care and expected outcomes and documents same.
• Identifies and appropriately utilizes multidisciplinary approach to facilitate delivery of patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required;
• BSN highly preferred Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania or Compact State License BLS Certification
