Job summary

Novant Health in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Stroke and Neuro unit in our Neuro Tower. You will participate in bedside rounds, pursue ongoing neuro and seizure education, and contribute to group music therapy sessions for patients.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in appropriate state required.
• One year relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Join and lead bedside patient progression rounds with the multidisciplinary team.
• Continued education on unit-based seizure response tactics.
• Participate and facilitate group music therapy sessions for stroke and neuro patients.

• Location: New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC


• Schedule: Full-Time, 0.9 FTE, 72 Hours per 2 weeks, 12 Hour Day Shift, 7a-7p.

• Onboarding: Comprehensive orientation and training program designed to set new team members up for success, with ongoing support from experienced preceptors and leadership.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
