Job summary

Baptist Health System, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Stress Lab at Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time day shift opportunity with hours from 7:00am to 4:00pm. No on-call required, rotating weekends.

The RN will perform nursing care using the nursing process and work closely with patients, families, physicians, and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality cardiac care in the Stress Lab.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• ASN required.
• BSN preferred.
• Diploma-prepared nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
• Monitor patients during diagnostic cardiac testing and procedures.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatment, and care plan.
• Administer medications and provide nursing interventions.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
• Coordinate care with physicians, ancillary services, and healthcare team.
• Supervise and coordinate care by supportive personnel.
• Advocate for patients with compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Maintain documentation and comply with hospital policies and safety standards.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to patients in the Stress Lab. The RN will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while working closely with patients, families, physicians, and the multidisciplinary care team.

As a Registered Nurse in our Stress Lab, your responsibilities will include:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
• Monitor patients throughout diagnostic cardiac testing and procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Provide patient and family education regarding disease processes, treatment, and the plan of care.
• Administer medications and provide appropriate nursing interventions based on patient needs.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergency situations.
• Coordinate care with physicians, ancillary services, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Supervise and coordinate care provided by supportive personnel as appropriate.
• Serve as a patient advocate while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and patient-safety standards.

Registered Nurse, Stress Lab Experience Requirements:

• 2 years of Critical Care experience preferred

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Diploma-prepared nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care experience.
