Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare invites aspiring nurses to join our Nursing Stipend Program, designed to support students while they complete their nursing education and prepare for RN licensure. Selected participants gain insight into patient-centered care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, with a path to full-time opportunities after graduation.

Participants accepted into the Nursing Stipend Program receive financial assistance while completing their nursing education and gain the opportunity to transition into a full-time nursing position upon successful graduation and licensure. Nursing opportunities are available in: Surgery Medical/Surgical Unit Emergency Department Birthing Center Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Physical Requirements

Ability to meet the physical demands associated with nursing education and future clinical practice. Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and patient care activities. Ability to respond appropriately in clinical and emergency situations.

Education, Certifications & Licensure

• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program required.
• Successful completion of nursing program requirements required.
• Registered Nurse licensure required prior to employment as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire into nursing role.
• Additional specialty certifications may be required based on assigned department.
