Job summary

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare is seeking a Medical Surgical Charge Nurse to provide clinical leadership and oversee daily unit operations. You will coordinate staffing, support staff, and serve as a clinical resource for the Medical Surgical team.

The role requires current RN licensure, prior Medical-Surgical experience, and strong assessment/critical-thinking skills. Leadership and communication abilities are essential to promote patient flow, safety, and high-quality care in a fast-paced

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily Medical Surgical unit operations to support patient-centered care.
• Assign staffing resources based on patient acuity and census.
• Mentor and serve as clinical resource for nursing staff.
• Monitor patient safety, quality indicators, and compliance with standards of care.
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans.
• Support admissions, transfers, discharges, and throughput processes.
