Job summary

Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital in Southfield, MI is seeking a Stepdown ICU registered nurse to deliver high-acuity patient care on a 29-bed unit.

You will lead nursing processes, document precisely, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. The schedule features three 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend and rotating holidays, with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Job Description

The Stepdown Intermediate Care Unit is a 29-bed unit caring for adult patients across a wide range of ages and medical diagnoses. Patients typically have a higher acuity level than those on a medical-surgical unit and may require advanced stepdown interventions, including:

• Cardiac drips
• DKA management
• CIWA precautions
• Advanced respiratory support, including BiPAP and heated high-flow oxygen
• Enhanced sepsis interventions
• Complex wound management
• Total care for high acuity patients

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SCHEDULE: (3) - 12 Hour Shifts, 7pm - 730am, every other weekend and rotating holidays. Full time benefit eligible.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).
