DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is DMC’s largest hospital, offering a comprehensive range of services including a heart center, cancer care, gerontology, emergency medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, and cosmetic services. Sinai-Grace’s joint replacement program features minimally invasive knee and hip surgeries, attracting patients nationwide. The hospital operates over 21 outpatient care sites and ambulatory surgery centers across Wayne and Oakland Counties. It is one of 10 hospitals nationally to receive a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant to help set standards for cardiac care.

Job Description

The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the Patient Care Services Team. The RN is responsible for delivering nursing care, managing a group of patients and their families through independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with team members including ancillary and support staff. The RN’s role encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration, teaching, and supervision.

Responsibilities include:

• Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with physicians and healthcare providers
• Delegating, assessing, providing, and evaluating patient care
• Providing and delegating patient care activities to team members
• Monitoring patient progress and preparing patients for discharge
• Reporting to senior management and participating in shared decision-making

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school required
• BSN preferred
• Licensed to practice as an RN in Michigan required
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
