Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Provide leadership to facilitate professional nursing care for patient comfort and well-being.
• Use the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation—to deliver, delegate, supervise, document patient care and education.
• Implement medically prescribed interventions.

Role Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Perform procedures, monitor patients, administer medications, and document care thoroughly.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve issues.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment, medications, and follow-up care, translating complex terminology as needed.

Qualifications:

• BSN or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within 5 years; experience exemptions apply.
• Current RN licensure with North Carolina Board of Nursing; eNLC license may apply.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
