Job Summary and Qualifications

• Provide leadership to facilitate professional nursing care for patient comfort and wellbeing.
• Use the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation—to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document care and education.
• Implement medically prescribed interventions.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered, documenting care thoroughly and timely.
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and take action if adverse reactions occur.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve issues.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatments, medications, side effects, and follow-up, translating complex medical terminology as needed.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN/advanced degree program with a BSN completion within 5 years of hire. RNs with 10+ years of experience are exempt.
• Preferred Education: Master’s in Nursing.
• Required Licensure: Current RN license with North Carolina Board of Nursing; eNLC license may apply.
• Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider.
