Job summary

Avera St Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen, SD seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver bedside nursing care in patient-focused settings.

Responsibilities include developing nursing care plans, coordinating care with the multidisciplinary team, educating patients and families, and ensuring safe, evidence-based care with infection control and accurate charting. 72 hours per pay period, with one weekend of call every 8 weeks and one night per week.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Active license upon hire.
• Experience in a clinical environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review physician prescriptions and communicate nursing care plans to the health care team.
• Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories and documenting patient status.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care.
• Evaluate patient care by monitoring outcomes and updating care plans accordingly.
• Maintain infection control standards and safe medication handling.
