Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active, un-expired RN license from the State of Michigan.
• Related experience preferred, not required.
• Current AHA-BLS for Healthcare Providers certification or obtain within 2 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physical, psychological, and social dimensions and educational needs of the patient on admission; complete the assessment within designated time.
• Identify patient needs and formulate a written care plan within 24 hours of admission.
• Plan, implement, document and update the plan of care; provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support.
• Promote patient independence by teaching patients and families to understand the condition, medications, and self-care.
