Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in nursing.
  • BSN preferred.
  • 1 year outpatient RN experience preferred.
  • Active WA RN license.
  • Dual WA/OR licensure within 120 days.
  • BCLS within 90 days.
  • ACLS and PALS preferred.
  • Spanish bilingual proficiency preferred at ALTA score 10.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care during patient visits and obtain vital signs and health history.
  • Perform phone triage to determine next steps and follow-up care.
  • Document health history and actions in EMR.
  • Assist providers in diagnostic procedures and treatments.
  • Explain medications and obtain consent from patient/guardian.
  • Coordinate patient plan of care and interagency referrals.
  • Provide education and initiate follow-up care as needed.

Position Highlights
  • FTE (40 hours per week)
  • EMR system is EPIC
  • $41.26–$50.55/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates
  • Additional pay for your bilingual skills, paid on hours worked
  • $7,000.00 Hiring/Retention Bonus Structure:
    • At Hire: $2,100.00
    • At 180 days (6 months): $2,800.00
    • At 12 months: $2,100.00
  • Bonus will be pro‑rated based on Full Time Equivalency (FTE)

What You’ll Do
  • Provide care during patient visits, discussing chief complaint and obtaining vital signs and complete health history. Develop a baseline physical assessment.
  • Perform phone triage with patients to determine chief complaint and assessment of next steps and follow‑up care needed.
  • Document health history, assessments, actions and medications in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Assist providers in diagnostic procedures and treatments.
  • Perform IV starts when ordered. Provide information to patient regarding procedure, site selection and possible complications.
  • Communicate with patient to collect information on allergies and pre‑existing conditions.
  • Identify the purpose, side effects, and onset of action for each class of drug being given to patient. Explain medication, usage and possible side effects to patient/guardian and obtain consent.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers in developing patient plan of care. Coordinate and plan interagency referrals related to patient care as directed by the provider.
  • Collaborate with provider in implementing the patient plan of care including providing education and identifying additional services needed for the patient. Initiate follow‑up care plan as needed.
  • Collaborate with ancillary staff to process patients based on providers’ schedule, maintaining smooth patient flow.
  • Perform clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and YVFWC requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Nursing
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year of outpatient or clinical RN experience is preferred
  • Active WA RN license
  • Dual Washington/Oregon licensure required within 120 days
  • Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC): If the RN holds a license from a participating NLC state, they must provide proof of primary state of residence and proof of completed suicide prevention training during the first week of onboarding. If relocating to Washington, the RN must obtain a Washington RN license within 6 months of hire and update their primary state of residence within 60 days of relocation.
  • Military Nurses are not required to obtain Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
  • BCLS within 90 days of hire
  • ACLS and PALS preferred
  • This position eligible for Bilingual Differential Compensation when an ALTA score of 10 is achieved
  • Spanish bilingual proficiency preferred at a level 10
