Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated school nurse for a full-time, onsite contract serving a K-12 community near Piscataway, NJ. The role runs September 1, 2026 through July 22, 2027, with hours 8:00am to 2:45pm, Monday through Friday, focusing on students with emotional regulation challenges and coordinating with educators and parents.

Responsibilities include administering medications, completing post-restraint evaluations, maintaining health records, and ensuring safety; the ideal candidate

Qualifications

• Valid RN license and prior school-based nursing experience required
• Strong background in pediatric and/or psychiatric nursing
• Familiarity with K-12 populations, particularly students with emotional regulation impairments
• Ability to administer medication accurately and manage health documentation
• Compassionate approach with proven relationship-building and communication skills
• Comfortable conducting post-restraint evaluations and responding to crisis situations calmly

• Complete post-restraint evaluations, focusing on both physical and emotional well-being
• Maintain health records and ensure compliance with all school and state regulations
• Collaborate with educators, counselors, and school administrators to ensure student safety
