Contract is per diem with Hackensack Meridian Health, emphasizing effective communication and ongoing patient-family engagement to achieve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey RN license.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Administer medications utilizing bar-scanning technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.

Requirements

Education

• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire

Experience

• 1+ years of acute care nursing experience highly desired
• ED nursing experience is highly desired

Licenses & Certifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required
• ACLS and PALS certifications are highly preferred
