The California Department of State Hospitals – Atascadero is seeking a permanent, full-time Registered Nurse (Safety) to join the clinical team in San Luis Obispo County. The RN will report to the Unit Supervisor and provide nursing care to patients or inmates, administer medications, monitor conditions and document changes.

Job Description And Duties

The permanent, full time Registered Nurse (Safety) will be directed by the Unit Supervisor, Senior Psychiatric Technician, RN Shift Lead, or Health Services Specialist on the assigned Program/Unit at the Department of State Hospitals – Atascadero (ASH). The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:

• Helps to create a clean, safe and therapeutic environment for patients or inmates.
• Apply mental health principles and relationship security with patients or inmates.
