Job summary

Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Wound Center. You will deliver clinical care, manage wounds, and educate patients and families as part of a collaborative treatment team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of nursing experience with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience including wound assessment and dressings.
• > >2 years of progressive wound care experience in acute care, home care or ambulatory site preferred
• Active Registered Nurse license in CT required
• Wound Care certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care, care management and patient/family education to support wound healing in collaboration with the treatment team.
• Support ambulatory wound center operations and coordinate with physicians and staff

The Registered Nurse in one of our Ambulatory Wound Centers provides clinical care, care management and patient/family education to support the healing of acute and chronic wounds, in collaboration with the provider treatment team.

Qualifications

• ADN, Diploma in Nursing required, BSN preferred
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience including wound assessment and dressings
• >>2 years of progressive wound skill experience in acute care, home care or ambulatory site preferred
• Prior wound care training preferred
• Active Registered Nurse license in CT required
• Wound Care certification preferred
