Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM seeks a Registered Nurse to join the 5-bed Wound Care unit. You will perform assessments, administer treatments, and ensure patient comfort with a dedicated team of RNs, LPNs, and CMAs.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license is required.
• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• BSN preferred; must obtain BSN within two years.
• Complete WOCN Education Program or meet experiential requirements and sit for the certification within two years.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• 4500 hours of direct patient care in wound/ostomy/continence care.

Department/Unit Summary

Join our team in a 5-bed Wound Care unit where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Registered Nurses (RNs), Hyperbaric Chamber Operators, LPNs and CMAs. With a 3:4 nurse to patient ratio, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Qualifications And Requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. BSN preferred. Additional requirements include:

• Expectation to obtain BSN within two years.
• Completed a WOCN Nursing Education Program (WOCNEP) accredited by the WOCN Society as a standard pathway and/or meet experiential requirements. If not completed, must complete within two years and meet requirements to sit and pass the WOCNCB board certification exam within the same two years.
• BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• 4500 hours (2-3 years) of direct patient experience that encompasses wound, ostomy, and continence care.
