Job summary

Journey is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in Fort Valley, GA. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, working on Saturdays and Sundays with 12-hour shifts.

The role emphasizes strong clinical skills, effective communication, and dedication to high-quality resident care within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted RN license in the practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Long-term care experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants per policies and regulations.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic resident care.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures by nursing staff.
• Participates in resident admissions, discharges and transfers as required.
• Assesses changes in resident status, notifies physician and family, and documents appropriately.
• Transcribes physician orders to the medical record and carries out orders as written.
