Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time weekend shift at Metropolitan Behavioral Health. The role supports adult populations with behavioral health needs, coordinating care with the health team and supervising LPNs and MHTs.

The candidate will provide high-quality nursing care on day or night shifts, follow standard nursing processes, and contribute to a safe, compassionate inpatient environment within a 144-bed facility.

Qualifications

• RN license required (Michigan) and nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Minimum three years in a psychiatric healthcare setting preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and evaluate patient care with the health team.
• Oversee and direct LPNs and MHTs to ensure patient safety and needs.

Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility)

A growing 144-bed behavioral health facility - Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.

Position Summary:
RNs coordinate and evaluate patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. They oversee and direct the LPNs and MHTs on their units to provide for the safety and needs of the patients.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate from an accredited professional nursing required
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
Licensure: RN license issued by the State of Michigan

Work Hours: This is a full-time, every weekend position @ $50/hour. Sat/Sun/Mon Adult Units: Day Shift: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. or Night Shift: 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
