Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced RN for a night-shift, full-time position in a BEACON-designated unit. The role focuses on comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, and patient education, within a collaborative care team.

Requires RN license, BLS, ACLS, and preferred BSN.) Eligible clinicians may access the Clinical Ladder program for potential salary increases based on experience, development, and advancement criteria.

Qualifications

Unit Highlights

ICU Vascular/PCU Vascular (GT4) is a BEACON award winning unit that specializes in the care of vascular surgeries, general surgeries, and abdominal transplant patients. Vascular Care Unit (VCU) comprises 20 of our beds and sees patients both pre-op and post op from surgeries such as fem-pop bypasses, carotid endarterectomies, and amputations. Vascular Transplant ICU (VTICU) comprises the other 20 beds and serves critically ill patients that have either had a vascular surgery, general abdominal surgery, or abdominal organ transplant.

Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week Shift: Nights, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Work Experience

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]
