Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL seeks an experienced registered nurse to join our team in a full-time capacity. You’ll conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer treatments, and educate patients and families.

Collaboration across disciplines ensures high-quality, compassionate care aligned with our mission. Eligible clinicians have opportunities for salary increases up to 20% through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience and advancement

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• 1+ year in acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, development and spiritual factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and adjust as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure clear communication.
• Document patient information and care activities accurately in the medical record.

Job Description

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• EKG (based on patient ; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements)

• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes

Education

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range

$31.85 - $52.76
