Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a Nursing professional to support sourcing strategies for medical products and services. You will collaborate with Spend Management to anticipate needs by tracking market trends and new technologies, and coordinate with nursing leadership on validations and approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Two years of nursing experience required.
• Current RN license recognized by the NCSBN Compact; or licensed to practice as an RN in the state of employment.
• Ability to collaborate with hospital departments and clinicians to drive adoption and standardization of services and products.
• Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports and implements sourcing strategies for specified categories aligned with organizational goals.

• Lead clinical resource activities for product recalls and new technology requests; manage backorders and substitutions.
• Coordinate with nursing leadership to validate and approve substitute products.
• Plan and execute trials and conversions to support evidence-based decisions by the Value Analysis Committee.
• Monitor market conditions to keep the contract portfolio relevant and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
• Provide education and coordination with clinical educators for adoption of new technologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Supports and implements sourcing strategies for specified categories to achieve key organizational and departmental goals. Assists Spend Management team in predicting new product requests from stakeholders by tracking the current market and changing technologies.

Essential Functions

• Acts as clinical resource who leads supply conversions and works with internal and external stakeholders to develop and support a recall management process and manage new technology product requests, backorders, and substitute products.
• Performs initial clinical evaluation of substitute products and coordinates with appropriate levels of nursing leadership for validation and approval.
• Structures and plans effective trials and conversions for products for supplies and services. Manages the clinical trial process to enable the Value Analysis Committee to make effective decisions by providing a clear trial timeline, concise clinical feedback, and appropriate supplier support.
• Monitors markets to understand changes and product introductions to ensure contract portfolio remains relevant to market conditions and operationalizes strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Supports cost savings and value maximization to the total cost of ownership of equipment, supplies, and services.
• Provides support to and coordinates with clinical educators to ensure appropriate adoption and education of new technologies and products.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

• This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Requirements

• Education - Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Experience - Two (2) years nursing experience

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

• Holds a current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an RN in the state the team member is working.
