Essentia Health is seeking a skilled nurse for Urgent Care – VMAC, focusing on health care for individuals, families, and populations in outpatient settings. You will apply the nursing process from assessment to action, supporting primary and specialty care across telehealth, home, and office visits.

The role includes triage, patient education, and timely interventions; licensure and BCLS are required, with Wisconsin RN licensure due within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 3 months from date of hire.
• WI RN License required within 3 months of hire.

Job Description: This role is a professional practicing in a multi-faceted domain of specialty nursing that focuses on health care of individuals, families, groups, communities and entire populations. You will provide care that occurs in primary and specialty care outpatient facilities, non-acute community out -patient settings; during tele health nursing encounters that occur in medical offices or by individual nurses in the home or business. Have authority, accountability and responsibility for nursing practice; makes decisions; and takes action consistent with the obligation to promote health and to provide optimal care recognizing that health is a universal right. You will interact with patients in concert with other health professionals, skillfully uses the nursing process to assess primary concerns, identify problems, analyze and integrate subjective and objective data, decide on a plan of action, apply the appropriate intervention and evaluate the outcome.

Schedule: This position will work the following: 70 hours per 2 weeks Every Other Weekend 8:45AM - 4:45PM Day/Evening Shift: 8:45AM - 7:45PM

Job duties would include but not limited to: triage, assessments, patient educations, manage in-basket, assist as needed with rooming patients, giving medications etc.

Required to work all Twin Ports Urgent Care Sites.
