Job description

The Observation Unit (Obs) at Loudoun Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time day shift position. The unit primarily cares for cardiac, neurological, medical, and surgical patients. This role offers the opportunity to learn in a fast-paced environment similar to an emergency room setting, while developing critical medical and surgical nursing skills.

The unit is a 27-bed facility with rapid patient turnover, providing a dynamic work environment. Ideal candidates are those with strong time management skills, a team-oriented approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting. This position offers opportunities for professional and personal growth.

Sign-On / Relocation Bonus: This position is eligible for a competitive sign-on bonus. Candidates relocating 50 miles or more are eligible for relocation assistance.

Schedule: Full-Time, Nights (3 twelve-hour shifts)

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 1-year clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
2. BSN from an accredited nursing school is required. If holding an Associate Degree (ADN), must be within 1 year of completing a BSN.
3. Current RN licensure in Virginia or privilege to practice under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
4. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
5. Specialty certification relevant to the unit must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
6. Completion of the revised Charge Nurse Workshop within the first 90 days of employment.
