Job summary

Essex Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Elizabethtown, NY is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to lead the nursing team on the assigned unit.

You will supervise staff, implement policies, mentor nurses, maintain care standards, review resident records, monitor cases, and address questions from residents and families. This role requires an active NY RN license and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Active State RN license required.
• 3 years long-term care experience preferred.
• 2 years charge nurse experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and excellent communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle all supervisory duties for the assigned unit.

• Mentor less experienced nurses with clinical and career guidance.

• Maintain the standards of care for the unit
• Review Resident records & quality of care

• Address questions or complaints brought forward by Residents or their families
• Represent the unit's interests with the upper-level management

Requirements:

• Must hold valid State RN License
• 3 years Long Term Care Experience preferred
• 2 years Charge Nurse experience preferred

• Excellent communication skills
