Job summary

Northern Manor Multicare Center in Nanuet, NY is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to lead a dedicated care team and oversee daily clinical operations on the unit.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid State RN license, bring LT/Care experience and prior charge nurse leadership, and excel in communication and computer systems to maintain high quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid State RN License.
• 3 years Long Term Care experience preferred.
• 2 years Charge Nurse experience preferred.
• Strong computer and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned unit operations and staff.
• Establish and implement employee policies and procedures.
• Mentor less experienced nurses with clinical and career guidance.
• Maintain the standards of care for the unit.
• Review resident records and quality of care.
• Monitor overall resident care and review cases.
• Address questions or complaints from residents and families.
• Represent the unit's interests with upper management.

Duties:

• Handle all supervisory duties for assigned unit
• Help establish and implement employee policies and procedures
• Mentor less experienced nurses, offering clinical & career advice
• Maintain the standards of care for the unit
• Review Resident records & quality of care
• Monitor overall care & review individual Residents’ cases
• Address questions or complaints brought forward by Residents or their families
• Represent the unit's interests with the upper-level management

Requirements:

• Must hold valid State RN License
