Job summary

Saline Memorial Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Trauma Program Manager to lead trauma care and drive quality initiatives across the patient care continuum. You will oversee nursing care monitoring, collaborate with the Trauma Medical Director, and coordinate performance improvement, patient safety, and QA activities from pre-hospital to discharge.

• Current state or compact RN license.
• Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum five years on trauma or critical care units.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications required; CSTR within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monitoring and evaluation of nursing care for trauma patients.
• Coordinate quality improvement, performance improvement and patient safety with the Trauma Medical Director.
• Facilitate QA activities, analyze outcomes and implement trauma program strategies.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and departmental operations within budgetary and regulatory constraints.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to advance trauma services.

Join Saline Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse (RN) Trauma Program Manager and play a vital role in advancing trauma care and patient outcomes across our community. In this leadership position, you will oversee the monitoring and evaluation of nursing care for trauma patients while partnering closely with the Trauma Medical Director to coordinate quality improvement, performance improvement, and patient safety initiatives. From pre-hospital care through discharge, you will drive trauma program excellence by facilitating quality assurance activities, analyzing outcomes, and implementing strategies that enhance patient care. How you'll contribute

A RN Trauma Program Manager excells in this role:

• Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
• Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
• Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
• Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

• Applicants should have a current state or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
• Certifications: BLS / ACLS / PALS / TNCC required CSTR certification within 18 months of hire.
• Minimum five (5) years of trauma or critical care experience required
• Previous Emergency Services experience preferred
• Licenses: Must have a current state or compact state RN license.
• Education: Associate's degree required. BSN preferred.
